Cervelo bikes are one of the most innovative frame brands currently available.
Since being founded in 1995 by Gerard Vroomen and Phil White Cervelo Road bikes have been used by many top cyclists and professional cycling teams, and due to the innovation, many proven engineering and aerodynamic ideas implemented in every Cervelo frame and Cervelo Cycle design, they have deservedly won every major road and time-trial championship, in addition to this they have for a few years now been the most used brand in the Kona bike count, over double the amount of their nearest competitor.
The Cervelo range of frames is far more specific than most of the other top quality brands of frames, and as the range is so specific each of their frames are designed without compromise and perfectly suited to their intended use. The Cervelo range can range can be sub-divided into four specific ranges, Classic road, Aero road, Triathlon/Time-trial and Track.
Cervelo Classic Road Frames - The Cervelo R Series
Cervelo’s classic road bike range currently consists of the ever popular Cervelo R3, the New R5 and the ultra lightweight Rca, weghing in at 667grams for the 54cm frame. Utilising Cervelo technologies such as Squoval tubing and BB-Right, the Cervelo Classic road range are amongst the lightest, stiffest but also some of the most comfortable carbon fibre frames available.
Cervelo Aero Road Frames - The Cervelo S series.
The Cervelo Aero road range can be sub divided into the Cervelo S2, Cervelo S3 and the Cervelo S5 models, these whilst still as light as many other lightweight frames are also some of the most aerodynamic frames. Comfort Ply to increase comfort, Dropped Down Tube along with the aerodynamically efficient bottle cage placement, to further improve the aerodynamics, add this to BB-Right to stiffen the bottom bracket area and you have one of the best performing aero road frames on the market.
Cervelo Time-Trial / Triathlon Frames - The Cervelo P Series.
Probably the best range of Time-trial / Triathlon frames available are the Cervelo P models, with the P2 being about the best value for money TT / Tri frame currently available, the P3 is still as popular as ever, with the new state of the art P5 Six leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of creating the ultimate TT / Triathlon frame.
Cervelo Track Frames - The Cervelo T Series.
The T series frames are Cervelo’s range of track frames, again used by champions at all levels, comprises of two models, the aluminium T1 and the carbon T4. The T1 is a relatively inexpensive general track frame but still a high performance frameset utilising many of the technologies applied to the carbon frames. The T4 is the latest incarnation of the Cervelo carbon track frame, loosely based on the Cervelo P3 but with stiffness properties more suited to track racing, as with all Cervelo frames the T4 is designed to fulfil all the requirements needed in order to produce the highest quality and best performing track frames.
